On today’s Social Cues, Emily brings to our attention a puzzle book from the 1930s called Cain’s Jawbone. Yeah. Hope all the italicization doesn’t scare you there. That means I slanted the letters due to grammatical respect for the titled work. It’s not some Italian, gabagool meme sh*t. Anyway, forgive my pretentiousness, but this book has only been solved by four people in its entire, almost 100-year, existence. You still have until December of this year to solve it and win a cash prize. Go! Look it up! And be the fifth winner!
Matt says scientists are working on a super powerful plant! No, it’s not a man-eating war machine or anything like that. Instead, it’s a super efficient plant that can filter carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. How efficient? Well, this one plant is said to be equal to roughly THIRTY regular plants. Hell yeah. Let’s put ’em to work. We got a lot of smog to get rid of.
And Spenny says goodbye to one of his favorite actors who passed away. Kevin Conroy was the voice of Batman in the animated series that aired in 1991. Due to the popularity of said show, he went on to voice Batman in various forms of media, from cartoons to video games. As a result, he was known as The Voice of Batman for multiple decades and for a couple of generations. CJ and Spenny discuss their feelings on Conroy’s passing, and Spenny plays some audio that he spliced together as homage to the late actor. R.I.P. to Kevin Conroy. I’m sad as I type this.
Anyway, bye.
