Summer may be coming to an end, but we have more than enough reasons to celebrate this three-day weekend! First of all, football season is here which means the 101X tailgate parties are back! We’ve moved the party to a new location so scroll down to find the details you need! We also have our 101X Homegrown Live show happening this weekend at Barracuda AND our first qualifying round for the Jason & Deb Race To ACL Gold tournament at Valhalla, the new Esports Lounge on W. 6th Street. Jason & Deb’s Race To ACL Gold Mario Kart tournament begins this Friday at Valhalla Esports Lounge with the first of two qualifying rounds! Come out and get rowdy with 101X and Jason Dick as we cheer on those competing in this round. AND if you’re interested, you can go ahead and register to compete in the next qualifying round on September 13th for your chance to compete in the final tournament on September 27th. While there, check out all that the Valhalla has to offer as the first Esports bar on 6th street!

Beer lovers rejoice! You can now take beer to-go from your favorite local breweries thanks to a new law that goes into effect this Sunday, Sept. 1st. To celebrate, Austin Beerworks is throwing a beer-to-go bike crawl starting as early as 10 am to beat the Texas heat. From there, you will make a trip to Zilker Brewing Co. where you will be greeted by a hydration station and other surprises before heading out to the last stop at Live Oak Brewing Co. Participants will also have the chance to win some cool prizes thanks to the folks at Yeti. Get ready for a nice stroll through Austin on a brewtiful day, but please remember to ride at your own risk while having fun!

Remember that time Deb participated in puppy yoga? Well now is your chance to get in on the adorable action! Practice your poses and say hello to some adoptable pups with an hour-long yoga session that is perfect for beginners, along with an extra half hour of kitty playtime for you to take part in! There is a suggested donation of $25 that will go straight to Happy Hearts Dog Rescue which aims to help dogs in foster care throughout the Austin community.
Warning: you may have to explain to your roommates why you left for yoga and came back with a new fur-ever friend.
