Latest UKTX: Keane’s Back; Miles Kane & Gerry Cinnamon, Too

Keane has been gone from the spotlight so long that stage security at this month’s Isle Of Wight Festival initially turned them away as they sought to go onstage. As it’s turned out, keyboardist/chief songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley had some things on his mind after a breakup, so the band’s set for their first LP release in seven years this summer.  Here’s the leadoff single:

 

 

Elsewhere, Miles Kane (who says “never say never” to the possibility of a return for The Last Shadow Puppets) has some fest gigs looming on the continent, so added to his repertoire with the new “Can You See Me Now”, while Gerry Cinnamon’s big Glastonbury set this weekend will likely include the new “Canter.”  Hear them and the rest of the June 23 UKTX playlist below:
