After discussing the new NBC streaming service the Peacock and Jason played the hook of Katy Perry’s “Peacock” which lead us into a discussion of pop queens. Deb aired her opinion that she isn’t the biggest fan of Katy Perry, Producer Katy was hurt. Not only was Deb slandering a fellow “Katy with a Y” but also Katy grew up with Katy Perry in Middle School and loves her and was personally offended by Deb’s detraction. Somehow Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift were brought up in the mix as they do when talking about Pop Princesses. Nick said that if they were soda Katy Perry would be Pepsi, Taylor Swift is Coca-Cola and Ariana Grande would be RC. Deb and Katy are Ariana Grande stans and were quick to jump to her defense. They argued that she is just as popular and would at least be Dr. Pepper, which lots of people like but might not be some for some people. You can listen to the whole discussion during the 7 AM podcast, Nick learned a lesson to not talk badly of Ariana Grande.

Deb met with her financial assistant and was asked when she wanted to retire. This sent Deb into panic mode. When asked to write down her age she wrote down 25 without thinking. She scratched it out later when she realized her physical age isn’t 25 but that’s how she feels because she’s been living like since then. Deb has been an independent woman since she was 25 and has had pretty much the same life philosophy her whole life. As we know, Deb doesn’t do maths so meeting with her financial advisor was necessary but also opened her eyes to many things. She was today years old when she realized that her 401k is gonna be taxed and had to start to figure a budget out for when she retires. She had to go see her therapist after because she was so stressed. That is why she is this week’s C of the Week!
