Billie Eilish is ending the year on a strong note with the release of a brand new video for her single “Xanny,” directed by the 17-year old herself. The video is simple yet powerful and as in most of her videos, contains striking visuals that at times creates a sense of unease. “I’m very excited to share my directorial debut,” Eilish says. “Visuals are so important to me, and I’m very proud to be in a place where I can present my creative vision exactly as I want it. Thank you to everyone who has put their trust in me.” Watch the full video below.
There is no doubt that Billie Eilish has dominated the music industry in 2019. Her first-ever studio album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 in April, making her the first artist born in this century to have a number one album on the chart. She made her SNL debut back in September and turned Studio 8H completely upside down. She won Best New Artist of the Year and Favorite Alternative Rock Artist and made her award show performance debut at the AMAs. And most recently, she made history when she became the youngest artist to ever be nominated for the 2020 Grammy Awards’ four major categories, including Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist. In total, Eilish managed to secure six nominations.
