We’ve waited six years for this, but it was definitely worth it. At midnight on May 3rd, Vampire Weekend released their new album, Father Of The Bride; The album follows the 2013 release of Modern Vampire of the City. This is also the band’s first record since the departure of founding member Rostam Batmanglij—however, Batmanglij did assist in producing the new album along with BloodPop, DJ Dahi, Dave Macklovitch, and Steve Lacy. With the release of I Am Easy To Find right around the corner, The National has given us another glimpse of what to expect on the forthcoming album by unveiling a new track titled “Harpin Turns.” The new track is accompanied by a music video by director Mike Mills, who is also the director of I Am Easy To Find’s corresponding film. The album is set to debut May 17th via 4AD. Watch the video below.
Bastille has released a new song titled “Joy,” which is set to be included in their forthcoming album, Doom Days. The album, which is the band’s third studio album, is due out June 14th via Virgin Records. Doom Days follows the album Wild West, which was released back in 2016. Listen to “Joy” below.
Of Monsters And Men have dropped their first single in four years titled “Alligator.” The track is the Icelandic band’s first release since the 2015 sophomore album Beneath The Skin. The new track also came with the announcement of a new album coming later this year.
