Scroll down for the April 7 UKTX playlist, which included some excellent newcomers….

OK, actually, the show has featured The 1975’s “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You)” last fall, when it was first a UK single. We dusted it off for UKTX this week, as it’s been announced as the next official US single, too.  In case you haven’t seen its accompanying epic 7-and-a-half minute video…

And of course 101X presents The 1975 May 3rd at Austin 360, with show vets Pale Waves and more.  Can’t wait!

And this time last weekend, we were still aglow from Jade Bird’s impressive performances both on the Hozier bill last Sunday night and her excellent X-Session the same day. Jade’s self-titled debut LP arrives next weekend (4/19). The UK is already being treated to next single, “My Motto”:

And we’re thrilled to get word that Jade should be back around this September, touring with a full band and headlining an Austin show TBA.

And, finally, though he stood us up at our affair during SXSW, we’re still pretty thrilled about Sam Fender.  The 25-year-old from England’s northeast goes full American on the new “Hypersonic Missiles.”  Clarence Clemons is smiling somewhere….
