Today’s catch of the day comes from long-time Chillville favorites, Zero 7. They have just released a magnificent new single called “Aurora“, which features the beautiful vocals of Swedish-Argentinian indie folk singer, José González. They have collaborated several times in the past, and have always created an amazing fusion of electronic and folk. Per their press release:
“The shimmering, atmospheric ‘Aurora’ reunites the influential electronica duo with acclaimed Swedish songwriter González, who they first worked with on Zero 7’s Grammy Award nominated 2006 album ‘The Garden’ and who also provided vocals for the track ‘Last Light’ from 2015’s ‘EP3’.
“‘Aurora’ is a collaboration with our old friend José González and will join ‘Mono’ on our new 12” vinyl. We think they work really well together,” says Zero 7’s Sam Hardaker.
‘Aurora’ and ‘Mono’ will be followed by more new Zero 7 material throughout 2019.”
