It’s not too late for you to exercise your civic duty (or you can just do it for Deb). The polls close at 7PM tonight and no, you can’t show up with any candidate propaganda. DEB’S DIARY
In case you’re wondering about the absence of jingles or licking on-air this morning, Blue did not come to the studio alongside Deb today. It has been a rough few weeks for Deb, but she wants to keep us updated.
Blue had to have his leg amputated due to bone cancer. Unfortunately, after chemotherapy and signs of stress, Deb made the decision to put him down this weekend. Although he hasn’t had an appetite, prefers to sleep outside and didn’t want to come into work today, he still gets excited to see people. Deb invited all of his friends and loved-ones to come over this week and say their goodbyes. She was trying to hold out until her Mom came into town next week, but with his condition, she just can’t stand seeing him in pain and uncomfortable any longer.
Deb’s main concern now is how soon, is too soon to put Blue boy down. At least the vetenerian gave Deb the option to come to the house when the time is right so Blue can be comfortable in his home, and alongside his brother George.
I LOVE YOU CALL
Today we called Strictly Reptiles in Hollywood, Florida to see if Deb can get them to say I Love You Too. We also called to debunk the creepy snake owner cliché, so Deb started out by asking how snakes work as pets. Luckily, Nicki from Strictly Reptiles was a snake owner, so she was happy to help and even invited Deb to check out the creepy crawlers for herself over the weekend. Although Strictly Reptiles was friendly, snake lovers and Deb must really just not get along because Deb got butt-slammed.
