It appears that things may be winding down for the GRAMMY Award-winning band the Foo Fighters. In an interview with Billboard Magazine, lead singer Dave Grohl mentioned that following their Concrete and Gold tour the band plans on taking a break.
“It’s a challenge, you know? You kind of set these goals for yourself, to see if you can do it again, even when you’re crawling to the finish line you know that it’s there,” frontman Dave Grohl told Billboard. “So here we are at the last set of shows we’ve been on for a year and a half and I’m ready to take a break but I’m ready to do it again at some point.”
Jokingly, Grohl hinted at a Sonic Highways part 2.
“Well, we’ve been working on it for six years now, and . . . I’m kidding,” said Grohl. “That door is always open. And a lot of great things have stemmed from that series. There are now kids in schools across the country making their own Sonic Highways about the little towns where they live.”
