Send Blue Your Best Wishes

Deb's dog Blue with his tongue out

It’s been a rocky week so far for Deb with Blue’s surgery coming up, but his three surgeons are very helpful so she knew he would be in good hands for his surgery yesterday. Due to yesterday’s weather, the computers were down at the vet so they couldn’t do the surgery that day. While they were there, the vet noticed Blue’s ankle was a lot more swollen than last time, so he had to stay overnight and instead they rescheduled the surgery for the next day.

Later that day while Deb was doing her Meals On Wheels runs she got a phone call and the vet told her they did imaging and Blue had a broken ankle. They also said the cause of the broken ankle was dog cancer, so they had to amputate his leg.

According to the vet, the diagnosis was like a blessing in disguise because after he won’t be in any more pain. Sadly when they find this type of cancer in a dog, they generally only have a few months to live so hopefully Blue recovers so he can start chemo. The details are still up in the air, but Deb picks him up later today and will keep us posted on what’s happening with him. Please send Blue boy all of your best wishes.

THAT GUY

Jason climbing in to the passenger seat of his car

Parks Unacceptably Close To You Guy, Don’t Be That Guy.

This was almost an Who’s The A-Hole segment, but the Dickman declared that the other party is definitely the A-Hole. Yesterday when Jason arrived at the station, the place where he normally parks was “all puddle”, so he had to park a little to the left. While leaving, there was Parks Unacceptably Close To You Guy. Although Jason made the second spot unusable by parking on the line too close to the left, someone still managed to squeeze right next to him.

Although Jason was the one who got there at 5AM and could have parked in any other space to avoid the puddle, the water was no longer Jason’s biggest concern because now, he couldn’t fit. Jason knew the only way to get into his car was to climb in from the passenger seat, but after leaving body marks on the other car and trying to force through with his muscular shoulders, he realized fitting through the crevice would require a level of flexibility doesn’t have. Eventually he did get into his car, but the point is just don’t be That Guy.

I LOVE YOU CALL

Today we called District Leathers in New York, NY to see if Deb can get them to say I Love You Too. Deb wanted to gift Jason a Martin Lawrence leather suit, so she asked if they make or just sell leather garments. District Leathers didn’t actually make customized leather suits, but they recommended Deb to get a pattern and find a factory to put it together. Although District Leathers had all the answers for making a leather suit, they had no love for Deb today and she got butt-slammed.
