Who Has The Best ACL Fest Cheek Grip Strength?

Jason and his friends posted up together in a photo all together at ACL Fest 2018.

One of Jason’s festival mates felt like they needed to take their glaucoma medicine into the festival, and he isn’t too sure about typical protocols, but his buddy went the “keister” route. Yes Deb, up there. Just to clarify, we’re not too sure we should even be talking about this on the show, nor are we trying to give you any ideas. Producer Nick called this move amateur. Why not just stick it in your shoe? Nick and Deb both agreed the keister route was unnecessary. Jason is also unsure of how far it was placed, but he knows they went through a rigorous process of rapping the substance.

Well, Jason’s two festival mates organized this plan and thought they successfully pulled off this operation. Jason thought Nick would be proud, but according to a pro that plan was just two old guys that didn’t know what they were doing.

In case you wanted to know, the smuggler is in the team photo from Jason’s Instagram above. Who could it be…

WHO DID THE MOST ACL-FESTING?

Who out of the Morning X team do you think did the most or least Weekend Two ACL Fest-ing, or “Do Over Weekend” as Jason calls it?

Although Deb didn’t participate for weekend one, she did go for a few hours last Friday. She also said she remembers the pain of entering and exiting the festival ground from previous years, but transportation took so long it cut into her window away from Blue boy. Although last weekend she opted out to spend time with Blue for the weekend, after the chaos of getting to the festival she decided not to go on Saturday, but overall Deb heard a couple of bands and met a sweet older gentleman who was an Uber and just adorable.

Jason got there early Friday to see David Byrne, some Hozier and about thirty minutes of Paul McCartney before he realized he was performing the same set as last week. Saturday he saw most of the Texans game at the festival then spilled out into the park to watch a bit of Disturbed. Although to cope with his transportation issues, Jason took a black market Uber to avoid the surges, but two miles and a negotiated forty dollars later he made it home despite risking his safety.

Producer Nick tapped out after Friday, and was one step ahead the crowd by taking a Car2go then walking into the festival to beat the crowd. He remembers seeing Paul McCartney on Friday but it was all a little fuzzy. No worries though, there was no return of Vartka Sota and he left the extra pants of underpants at home this weekend.

QUIEN ES MAS MACHO

Every Monday we test Jason’s manliness by comparing his weekend to a listener’s. Today’s listener was Rusty, and this weekend he went to Montana, flew in a helicopter, hiked about fifteen miles, tackled elk and saw a grizzly bear.

Jason mostly did dome ACL Fest-ing, and Friday he saw David Byrne, some Hozier, and about thirty minutes of Paul McCartney. Saturday was mostly dedicated to the Texans Game, Disturbed and ACL, then Sunday was all day football.

Today we had time for Deb to ask their deciding questions, and although Jason got a double buzzer, Rusty didn’t congress with anyone but he did make fire.

Although Jason thinks getting himself home on Saturday night is equivalent to tackling an elk, the listeners voted and Rusty, you are mas macho.

I LOVE YOU CALL

Today we called Grumpy’s Café in Cleveland, Ohio to see if Deb could get them to say I Love You Too. Deb opened the conversation by explaining that she and a friend are coming in for lunch this week, but are debating on why the diner is called Grumpy’s. Deb thinks they’re called Grump’s based off of a nickname of the chef, but Jason thinks its name is from the viral grumpy cat. After being on hold for so long we had an entire discussion about Grumpy and the piano playing cat, we’ll just consider today’s I Love You Call a butt-slam.
