Twenty One Pilots Beat Green Day for Fastest Rising Alternative Single this Decade with “Jumpsuit”

As far as the charts are concerned, Twenty One Pilots aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. The rock group’s latest single “Jumpsuit” is the fastest to reach No. 1 on the Alternative charts since Green Day’s “Know Your Enemy” back in 2009, taking only two weeks to hit the top spot. This news doesn’t come as a huge surprise, with TWP’s rise to fame after back-to-back hits “Stressed Out” and “Heathens,” the theme song for 2016 film “Suicide Squad,” received widespread popularity, racking up more than a billion and a half Spotify streams together.

 

“Jumpsuit” is the pumped-up second track off TWP’s forthcoming album “Trench,” and features an addictive screaming synth melody with supporting big bass and percussion that combine for an epic psych-tinged rock tune.
