Third Eye Blind is set to release their newest record, Thanks for Everything at the end of this summer. According to lead singer Stephan Jenkins, the band will be covering many of their favorite songs on the EP, including Bon Iver’s 2009 track “Blood Bank.” In a press release, Jenkins said, “When I listen to Justin Vernon, I feel like a better person. I feel pure and authentic and sure of my convictions.”
Third Eye Blind will be paying homage to a few other bands, like Queens of the Stone Age (“In the Fade”), Santigold (“This Isn’t Our Parade”), Chastity Belt (“Joke”), Babyshambles (“Fuck Forever”), Tim Buckley (“Song to the Siren”), and Happy Diving (“Ten”).
Thanks for Everything comes out on August 24th, and all proceeds from its sales will go to the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
