It’s that time of year when two important events are coming up, SXSW and our annual St. Patrick’s Day podcast! It’ll be happening this year at Buffalo Billiards. We’ll be recording a live broadcast with guests and playing some games. Including a live dating app swipe game! We’ll have a guy and gal as our designated swipers swipe through a lineup of eligible bachelors/ bachelorettes. Adopt, Don’t Shop!
Deb was on her meals on wheels route this week, and one of her clients came to her crying. She told Deb that she had been putting food out for one of her neighbor’s dogs because they didn’t properly care for the dog. One day the dog stopped showing up for food and when she went to the neighbors and they said the dog had run away. Deb’s meals on wheels client called around to local shelters and found the dog at Austin Humane Society. She told her neighbor but the neighbor didn’t want to pay the fee to get the dog back. A couple of days ago Chico was on the Austin Humane Society website and Deb was going to encourage someone to adopt him. Upon checking the website today, he is no longer on the website, so hopefully, that means he was adopted! If you are thinking of adopting a dog, check out the Austin Humane Society and bring home your new best friend today!
