Coronavirus has the whole world in a state of panic. Nobody is really sure what is going to happen in the next couple of months nor how lethal this virus will actually be. The city of Austin has even banned large gatherings until May 1st. This means events with 2500+ people are not allowed to take place unless the event organizers can prove “mitigations for infectious diseases are in place.” Jason is traveling to Mexico next week and to the Rage Against the Machine show in El Paso later this month. Luckily El Paso is far enough away from Austin to where they haven’t banned large events there. Jason is mildly concerned because it is going to be a large gathering with people coming from all over to see the show. Deb is concerned because her Mom and Stepdad have just left for a cruise! Even though she warned them and urged them not to go, so she’s a little nervous. It’s probably the worst time for a cruise because cruise ships are a petri dish for germs. Hopefully, Mama O’Keefe will stay healthy and that everyone at the Rage Against the Machine show will wash their hands for at least 20 seconds!

Deb’s Diary
Dear Diary, my boyfriend’s job is gross.
Deb’s San Antonio guy was called into a town in the middle of nowhere to fix a CT scanner. While he was there fixing the first one he was asked if he would have time to fix another. They told him that “some blood” had gotten in the scanner. It turns out that a patient had bled out in the scanner and passed away during the scan, so needless to say it was a little bit more than “some blood.” He didn’t get back until 10 pm last night and told Deb that it was like a scene out of a horror movie. Sounds like it was quite the interesting day at work, but unfortunately Deb said it’s not the worst thing that San Antonio guy has seen.
