Hit-making English band The 1975 want you to be part of an upcoming video.
On March 28, The 1975 put out an “invitation to fans” to participate in their new video by doing one of four things: “share a random anecdote about something you experienced recently,” “submit a video of your creative expression,” “[explain] three feelings that encapsulate the present,” or “share a video from your phone that makes you proud or makes you laugh.”

However, it is still unclear how the British band intends to use the submissions.
In addition to the ambiguous note on social media, the band announced their latest album ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ would be postponed for a second time. The original release date was moved to April 24 from February 21, and pushed back again to May 22.

According to Billboard, Matty Healy, lead vocalist and 101X Session guest, said on an Instagram Live in January, “Sorry if that’s annoying or whatever… For the sake of a couple of months, in the grand scheme of things [the delay] doesn’t really make any difference.”
In the meantime, The 1975 released a tracklist, album cover, and they will drop another single on Friday, April 3 titled “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America.”
Their North American Tour was postponed due to coronavirus health and safety concerns.
According to Paper, the day before the announcement, Healy received backlash for tweeting, “Stop telling people to support you we don’t want your EP and zine bundle right now Laura we’re going to die.”
He has since deleted the tweet, but many people were not fond of his remarks to independent indie artists affected by COVID-19 and called him “privileged.”
Nonetheless, the following day The 1975 and their record label Dirty Hit requested fans to, “please hold onto their tickets” which can still be purchased here.
