Love & Lightstream have teamed up with Werd Productions and Secession Entertainment to bring you a socially distant drive-in concert, befitting HAAM/Black Fret(501c3), artists & crew! This is a rain or shine event.

4th Annual Black Food Week ATX | All Weekend | Various Locations

Join the final days of the 4th annual ATX Black Food Week! The purpose behind Black Food Week is to inform Austinites on the long-established black owned restaurants. So go out there and support your community this weekend by checking out some of Austin’s greatest restaurants. Heads up, be sure to practice social distancing if you decide to dine-in! Breakfast Club | Blue Starlite Drive-In | Friday | 8pm 

Watching movies in your home can get boring. So why not watch one from the safety of your own vehicle? If you’ve got nothing else to do this weekend and have yet to hit the Blue Starlite Drive-In this summer, then you’re missing out. There’s plenty of movies to catch, including the cult classic Breakfast Club. Click above for ticket details!

 

Inside Lands Free Virtual Festival | Friday and Saturday | 6pm

Miss live music as much as we do? Then this might be an ideal way to kill time this weekend. Inside Lands is an online festival that’s free to the public. You can tune in to catch never-before-seen performances and footage, celebrating the festival’s existence of 12 years. The virtual event will also feature interviews with artists and festival curators. Those on the lineup include Alt-J, Gorillaz, Cage the Elephant, Jack White, Sofi Tukker, and more.

 

Emergency Relief Food Distribution | Travis County Exposition Center | 8am-11am

Central Texas Food Bank will be distributing emergency food kits from 8am-11am at the Travis County Exposition Center. There will be no close contact with others during the food distribution, everything is pre-packed and the setup will be operated as a drive-thru. The boxes will be placed in your trunk, so be sure make some room in your vehicle before arriving.

 

Record Store Day | Saturday | All Day

This first date of Record Store Day is this Saturday, August 29th! Music lovers, get ready for some exclusive music releases from your favorite artists. Waterloo Records will be doing Record Store Day virtually this year. Be sure to make your orders online. You’ll have the option to do curbside or get your purchases delivered by mail. Some of the music releases you can check out include a live David Bowie LP titled I’m Only Dancing, a first-ever pressed on picture disc of The Cure’s 20th anniversary edition of Bloodflowers, releases from Bastille, Steve Earle, Jake Bugg, and more. Texas Farmers’ Market at Mueller | Sunday | Yegua Creek Farms | 10am

Get your fresh produce this weekend at the Texas Farmers’ Market. They open at 10am. You can find fresh desserts, bread, meat, vegetables, and more. Don’t forget to mask up before you head out!

 

ACL Live & 3Ten Venue Tours | All Weekend | 11am-12:30pm

LAST CHANCE!! Get a tour of some of the coolest music venues in Austin. You’ll learn the history of ACL Live & 3TEN, plus see iconic music photography of Scott Newton and Jim Marshall. You can hit up these tours this entire weekend, and tickets start at $6. Only 10 people are allowed per tour, and guests will be required to complete a health questionnaire, including a laser temperature check. If your kiddos are under 5-years-old, they can attend for free! Final day to go on the tour is August 31st.
