The Smashing Pumpkins | Cyr | The Colour of Love
There’s a new Smashing Pumpkins album coming your way, however, the group has yet to reveal further details on a release date. Anyhow, the Chicago band dropped two singles called “Cyr” and “The Colour of Love.” Both songs were produced by frontman Billy Corgan. The band also released a music video to “Cyr,” which was directed by Linda Strawberry, their creative partner.
The Struts with Albert Hammond Jr. | Another Hit of Showmanship
The Struts and Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes have joined forces on a newly unveiled track called “Another Hit of Showmanship.” The English rock band’s song is their first release in over a year. Albert Hammond Jr. and The Struts have previously toured together. In 2018, The Strokes guitarist was on a solo tour, and The Struts were his supporting act. Check out their creation below.
The Flaming Lips | Mother Please Don’t Be Sad
The Flaming Lips return with yet another new single off their upcoming album American Head, out September 11. The track is titled “Mother Please Don’t Be Sad,” and the story told comes from a horrific event frontman Wayne Coyne experienced at a young age. Coyne was held at gunpoint years ago while working at Long John Silvers and the lyrics depict that moment, but with a more sorrowful ending. Watch the music video below.

St. Vincent has unveiled a new remix of “New York,” a song from her 2017 album MASSEDUCTION. The new version features X Japan’s drummer Yoshiki. Stream the track below.
Black Pistol Fire | Hope in Hell
Austin-based rock group Black Pistol Fire return with a new single called “Hope in Hell.” The track follows their 2019 single “Well Wasted” and 2017 album Deadbeat Graffiti. The duo released a press release regarding their latest song, saying that this is only a preview of what’s to come. Listen to “Hope in Hell” below.
