Finneas | What They’ll Say About Us
Finneas unveiled a new song titled “What They’ll Say About Us.” This is the first solo track the artist has released this year. The 23-year-old producer and singer-songwriter’s single follows the digital reissue of his 2019 EP Blood Harmony.
“What They’ll Say About Us” was prompted by Black Lives Matter protests and the recent death of Nick Cordero, a Broadway actor who died from complications of the coronavirus in July. Finneas spoke with WSJ Magazine about the track. “I kind of wrote this song as if you were singing to your loved one who was in a hospital bed while the world was protesting outside. I did make a point to keep the song fairly ambiguous because I know everybody’s sort of going through different circumstances of the same things right now.”
Bring Me the Horizon ft. Yungblud | Obey
Bring Me the Horizon released a new track with punk-rock artist Yungblud. The single is titled “Obey” and will be included in the band’s upcoming EP series Posthuman. Along with the released track is a new music video where Bring Me the Horizon frontman Oli Sykes and Yungblud battle it out-robot style. Check it out below.
Billie Joe Armstrong | Whole Wide World
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong returns with another rad cover. This time, Armstrong covered the 1977 single “Whole Wide World” by Wreckless Eric. Billie Joe Armstrong released the cover exclusively on Amazon Music, and follows his take on The Equals’ “Police on My Back” and Adam Schlesinger’s “That Thing You Do!”

The Hives | Live Version of Hate to Say I Told You So
Swedish rock band The Hives will be releasing a live album titled Live at Third Man Records. The new album will feature seven songs. The band gave fans a preview of what’s to come and shared a live version of their 2000 classic track “Hate to Say I Told You So.” Songs you can expect to find in Live at Third Man Records include “I’m Alive,” “Walk Idiot Walk,” and “Main Offender.” Their new album will be released on September 25.
