Today’s catch comes from the electronic music duo known as Bicep. Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar, raised in Belfast, make up the group and both had a lot of love and interest in electronic music. The childhood friends then started a music-based blog called “Feel My Bicep” that caters to house, techno, and other early forms of electronic music. This turned into a strong outlet for smaller bands to get noticed, and also allowed it’s followers to hear the pair’s own DJ sets and remixes. In 2012, they began making and producing their own music under the name Bicep for their own label “Feel My Bicep”. Since then they’ve started gaining popularity, and earned the respect of critics as well. They are now getting ready to release their 2nd full length album called Isles, which will be out on 1/22 of next year. Today’s catch is the latest single from the album entitled “Saku” featuring Clara La San on vocals, and it’s an outstanding piece of work. I can definitely hear that old school house sound they grew up loving – reminds me a bit of Disclosure. The trance like vocals and synths are blended nicely with that outstanding beat, which should get your body moving. It’s now time to get familiar with Bicep if you haven’t already! You can listen to today’s catch called “Saku (ft. Clara La San)” by Bicep in the YouTube player below. Good things!
