The Pretty Reckless and Tom Morello joined forces in a new song titled “And So It Went.”
Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello plays guitar in group’s latest single of their upcoming album Death by Rock and Roll, due out February 12. In a press release regarding the new track, The Pretty Reckless’ frontwoman Taylor Momsen talked about the special collaboration with Morello. “This song felt like the perfect storm for Tom Morello to join in and rip the sound waves apart with his guitar. It was more than a pleasure having him add his unique and defining sound to the song”
According to Momsen, the inspiration behind “And So It Went” comes from the world’s recent condition of “civil unrest.” She wrote, “As a songwriter, I feel like I’m not here to preach. I use music to observe and communicate what I see around me.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the rock band had to postpone the release date of their new album. It’s been been about five years since the group dropped Who You Selling For. As for Death by Rock and Roll, it’ll be the group’s fourth-studio album. You can pre-order the album now.
