Record Store Day is here!
On April 23rd, music lovers can stop by local record stores here in Austin and shop a selection of new and old vinyl.
The official Record Store Day list dropped, and there’s a wide selection available for all of you record devotees out there. Artists partaking in this year’s festivities range from The Cure, Glass Animals, Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, St. Vincent, and more.
As for participating stores in Austin, those include Waterloo Records, Antone’s Record Shop, Exploded Records, End of an Ear, Breakaway Records, Out of the Past Collectibles, and Groovers Paradise Record Shop. One main factor to keep in mind if you make your way to a shop this weekend, you might not find what you’re looking for. Each store has the ability to make “their own buying decisions and may choose to bring in some titles and not others.” When in doubt, give your local record store a call to see if they have the vinyl you want to purchase, especially since there’s a limited quantity for each item and are distributed differently.
