For the first time ever, Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” now has a music video.
Following the iconic scene in the Stranger Things season 4 finale with Eddie Munson, Metallica’s track has reawakened to audiences of all ages. Fans can now watch an official lyric video to “Master of Puppets” that features trippy visuals like neon lights, puppets, guitars, and lightning.
With the 1986 track making a comeback in the modern day, the band’s song has made it the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time. Streams have also skyrocketed.
In Stranger Things, the fan-favorite character, Eddie, plays “Master of Puppets” in the upside down as a way to distract Vecna’s bats from the crew. The band took to social media to speak out about the memorable scene, saying, “The way the Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include “Master of Puppets” in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it. We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away.”
