Thom Yorke | Plasticine Figures

Radiohead frontman, Thom Yorke, debuted a new track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

No description by Yorke or Fallon was given for the origin of the song or what the future of the track would hold. However in a YouTube description the song is described as recently completed, so it looks like York has been his quarantine time creatively.

The song is a piano ballad and it was performed remotely in a dimly lit room full of guitar cases. The lyrics were posted on Twitter just prior to the debut on Fallon.

Yorke was scheduled to be on tour right now following his third debut album, Anima, released last summer. However, due to the pandemic it was rescheduled to this fall.

Glass Animals have announced July 10 will be the release date for Dreamland, their newest album in four years.

Over the course of lock down frontman Dave Bayley has been busy by performing covers on social media, including Nirvana and Lana Del Rey. His creativity has been shining through hardships for a while now, and, according to him, he’s no stranger to uncertainty.

“The future was damn scary and completely unknown,” Bayley recalled an incident when his drummer Joe Seaward suffered extensive injuries after a horrific bicycle accident.

He said, “it was so difficult to look forwards that I found myself looking backwards.”

In a press statement, Bayley said this album is a memoir of his life, inspired by the memories buried deep inside him.

Dreamland’s title track and video was directed by Bayley and recorded via Zoom. Watch it below.

Sir Sly | All Your Love

Sir Sly have released to a new song called “All Your Love.” Frontman Landon Jacobs said, “I wrote this song in a moment that I was feeling very upside down. Fires had been raging around LA, and my daily commutes had started to take on a more ominous feel.”

After going through personal changes in life, Jacobs was inspired to listen back to the unfinished song. “I don’t often like to change until the pain of being stagnant is greater than the fear and discomfort of moving forward.” Listen to “All Your Love” below.
