You might be getting some new material from Billie Eilish in the near future.
The 18-year-old artist went on Instagram Live on September 14 and told fans that her new single and music video will be released soon. While she was live on Instagram, Eilish made no eye contact to the camera and softly whispered, “Yeah, I have a song and a video coming in a couple of weeks.”
The artist then made an eye-wide expression and said, “Or a month. I actually don’t know when. Shouldn’t have said that… okay I’m gonna go now.”

Eilish also mentioned that she’s been working on her upcoming album and jokingly said she’s only been getting two hours of sleep per day. In a recent interview with The Herald Sun, Eilish’s producer and brother Finneas said he and his sister will not be releasing albums during the pandemic. Along with helping Billie Eilish on her forthcoming projects, Finneas is working on a solo album.
“Billie’s album, and my album, they won’t be a bummer COVID record. I have a desperate desire not to release them during COVID-19. It’s the vaccine record! I want it to be the album everyone’s out dancing in the streets to,” said Finneas.
Back in August, the duo performed at the Democratic National Convention. Eilish sang her new single “my future” alongside Finneas and gave a powerful message on voter registration.
