Declan McKenna was a fresh-faced kid when he played SXSW in 2016. I saw a packed one-man show at the British Music Embassy that year–word then was that he’d wanted to bring his band over, but they couldn’t get out of school commitments. Seven years later a 24 year old Declan is prepping a third album. Check out “Sympathy” ahead of its release on the latest show. No details are available yet on the new record, but the artist himself promises it’ll be “hella weird.”
