In a turn of events, we really should’ve seen coming, Imagine Dragons released yet another explosive track that will be featured as the anthem for this year’s ESPN college football season.
Thursday night (July 19), the band took the stage of Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a powerful performance of “Natural.”
Complete with signature popping percussion and frontman Dan Reynold’s energetic scream-singing only he can pull off, the fiery anthem is sure to fill up those big college stadiums just fine.
With courageous lyrics like “That’s the price you pay/ Leave behind your heartache, cast away/ Just another product of today/ Rather be the hunter than a prey” and “You’re a natural/ A beating heart of stone/ You gotta be so cold/ To make it in this world” alongside ferocious instrumentation, the song’s a definite energy-builder, perfect for channeling that inner bad-ass out of both the athletes and crowds cheering them on.
