Hayley Williams returns with an EP of acoustic versions from here debut solo album Petals for Armor. It’s called Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades and on there you’ll find her acoustic take on “Simmer” and “Why We Ever.” Although, there is a brand new gem on there.
The Paramore singer added an unreleased song to the EP, titled “Find Me Here.” Not being able to tour her new album anytime soon influenced the process of the new track. Williams wrote the track while in quarantine, saying that she “spent this year at home like everyone. I hadn’t spent that much time at home alone with my guitar since I was a teen.”

HAIM | Christmas Wrapping 2020
In honor of Hanukkah’s final night, HAIM shared their version on a festive track. “Christmas Wrapping 2020” is their take on the The Waitresses’ 1981 song. Its theme centers on Hanukkah and of course, the quarantine lifestyle of 2020. “We hope this song helps you get through the holiday season,” said the trio. Accompanying the upbeat Christmas jingle is a vibrant, funky music video featuring Thundercat and Jeremy O. Harris. Check it out for yourself below.

Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin | The Velvet Underground’s Rock and Roll
Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin recently teamed up for a new project called The Hanukkah Sessions. The two cover a song by a Jewish musician each night of the eight-day holiday.
For their final release, they shared a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Rock and Roll.” They closed off the series with this special tune because it’s a “song about music and hope,” said Dave Grohl.

The Lumineers | Silent Night
The Lumineers have teamed up with the National Independent Venue Association this holiday season. The group released a cover of “Silent Night” as an raise awareness for the independent music venues affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The relief fund offers financial relief to venues across the United States. Their urging folks to make a donation to the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund and proceeds from the song will also go towards saving these stages.
