The Naked and Famous – “Come As You Are”
The Naked and Famous just dropped, “Come as you are,” their latest single on their fourth studio album, Recover, out May 8th. The new single is an honest anthem for inclusivity. Alisa Xayalith described her inspiration for the song as “just accepting people without judgment and a message to say that people are deserving of love, even if they feel like they’re not.” Fans can expect a new sound from The Naked and Famous. After the release of their previous album Simple Forms in 2016, two founding band members, Aaron Short and Jesse Wood, departed the band. Thom Powers and Alisa Xayalith decided it was time to regroup and introduce a new rendition of The Naked and Famous. The release of “Come As You Are” marks the third single off Recover, following the tracks “Bury Us” and “Sunseeker.” Listen to the song below.
Dreamers – “Heat Seeker”
DREAMERS just dropped their first single of 2020, “Heat Seeker.” It comes after the release of their sophomore album, Launch Fly Land, in 2019, that featured hit single “Die Happy.” The Los Angeles trio of singer Nick Wold, bassist Marc Nelson, and drummer Chris Bagamery, shot to fame with their single “Sweet Disaster” peaking at seven on Billboard’s alternative songs chart, and single “Painkiller” becoming their fourth single to reach alternative Top 40. Now, one of our favorite alternative rock bands is back with a new track that talks of our modern reality through their fun, infectious indie rock sound. Take a look at their new song below.
Caribou – Suddenly
The Canadian Producer, Dan Snaith, is back as Caribou for his seventh studio album, Suddenly. This comes as his most personal collection of music yet, with Snaith’s soothing vocals complimenting everyone of his 12 intricately crafted electronic tracks, for the first time ever. Since the release of his last album, Snaith has experienced some life altering events like his second daughter being born in the back of a car, and the death of someone very close to the producer. Suddenly is an uplifting album that embraces the change and shifting perspectives that life throws our way. Each song is beautifully layered with an array of unusual and complex sounds, and is definitely one of 2020’s top music to be released. Stream Caribou’s new album, Suddenly, below.
