An annual event many music lovers look forward to has been rescheduled for the second time this year. Coronavirus concerns continue to affect Record Store Day.
The annual event usually occurs on one Saturday in April and on Black Friday in November every year. Set to be on April 18, Record Store Day was then moved to June 20. Now, the event will be held on three different days. August 29, September 26 and October 24 are the new dates independent record stores will receive the Record Store Day official list that includes what people can exclusively purchase on those days. An updated version of The List will be available on June 1.
Record Store Day said in a statement that “supporting indie record stores may be more important than ever.” As of now, the music event is still scheduled for Black Friday, November 27.
