With the arrival of the highly anticipated Coachella lineup, Tame Impala announced plans for new music in 2019. “New year. New shows. New sounds.” wrote the band via instagram Wednesday night.

Last year in an interview with Beats 1’s Matt Wilkinson, Kevin Parker announced his plans to release new music by the summer of 2019. Parker also stated that he’d be “very disappointed” if he failed to meet this goal.
Tame Impala’s last album release was Currents back in 2015.
