A certain front-runner for this year’s song of the summer, “Ride or Die,” tells the story of two best friends living the fast life like they’re forever young, with a bright, electric, funky sound to match. Fittingly, the video takes us on a charming and nostalgic ride with The Knocks’ Mr. JPatt and DJ Ben Roc playing dynamic duos from 90’s movies, with Foster the People’s frontman Mark Foster as the funny supporting role. Retro BFF roles recreated in the video included Vincent and Jules from “Pulp Fiction,” Billy and Sidney from the 1992 LA basketball movie “White Men Can’t Jump,” and Agents J & K from “Men in Black.” Scenes from the Rocky series were reinvented too, with Mark Foster hysterically nailing a gruff Coach Mickey.

Speaking of Foster the People, the group is currently touring the states with Paramore following the release of their album “Sacred Hearts Club,” and will be visiting Texas for three shows in July – you can grab your tickets here.
