The Voidz shared an unreleased version of “I Wish It Was Christmas Today,” which they recorded back in 2015. The song originated on Saturday Night Live back in 2000 and has since become somewhat of a Christmas classsic. Frontman Julian Casablancas previously covered the song back in 2009 but decided to go in a different direction with the new recording. The original encapsulates a festive sound with jingle bells jingiling, whereas the new rendition takes on a spookier sound with a slower tempo. Listen Below.
Earlier this year, The Voidz released an album called Virtue. The Strokes have also recently announced plans for a “global comeback.”
