After a 6 year hiatus, Vampire Weekend has announced a new album! Frontman Ezra Koenig took to Instagram to announce the news of an 18-track album with the initials FOTB. What the initials mean is still under wraps. He also revealed that the album will be 59 minutes in length, and is a double album (at least on vinyl).
Koenig added that the band will release “three 2-song drops every month until the record is out,” all beginning next week. This means that the new album should be released in April, but as Koenig said in his post, “plans can change.”
Vampire Weekend’s last album was Modern Vampires of the City and was released back in 2013.
