This weekend marked Lisbon’s annual NOS Alive festival. The sold-out festival’s impressive lineup featured headliners like Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol and Queens of the Stone Age to name a few. Sunday, the first day to sell out single day tickets, was headlined by Pearl Jam and Jack White.
White joined Pearl Jam on stage for their closing act, a cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World,” their first jam sesh since their Third Man Records set at the Nashville Blues Room two summers ago.
The performance was the perfect way to end the NOS Festival since after all the only way to make a Pearl Jam performance even better is to throw in a few Jack White guitar solos.
