Today’s catch of the day comes from a band that we haven’t heard from much lately. As a matter of fact, it’s been 7 years since Ladytron has put out any music. 7 YEARS!!!! The UK quartet simply has this statement at the bottom of their website:
“After a hiatus following the release of their fifth album ‘Gravity the Seducer’, another chapter in Ladytron’s story is about to begin.”
Well, that time is now. They have just released a new single called “Far From Home“, which is today’s catch. This will be on their upcoming, long-in-the-works 6th album simply called Ladytron. The album is set to be released on 2/15/19, with a small tour to follow. “Far From Home” is vintage Ladytron at their best, with an electronic retro style that reminds me a bit of Erasure. I’m really looking forward to the new LP, but for now at least we have a new track. My message to the band is this…Guys (and gals), please don’t take a 7 year break when there are so many people that love and need your music.
