(12/20/20) Monty’s Catch of the Day – Burial, Four Tet & Thom Yorke

Burial, Four Tet & Thom Yorke

Today’s catch comes from a combination of three electronic geniuses…Burial, Four Tet & Thom Yorke. Each of these artists are known for their particular sounds, and when you put them all together – MAGIC! Burial (William Bevan) is known for his glitchy & crackly hip-hop beats, Four Tet (Kieran Hebden) has built a sound around ambient synths with hypnotic baselines, and Thom Yorke…well he is only the legendary Radiohead singer, dubstep technician, and electronic musician. Today’s catch is the absolutely incredible track called “His Rope“, which was originally released on the B-side of the rare 12” vinyl Her Revolution / His Rope. Lucky for us both songs on the 12″ vinyl found it’s way to the digital world for everyone to enjoy. This also marks 9 years when the trio first joined forces in 2011 on the Ego / Mirror 12″ release. Hopefully, there will be more music from the triumphant trio in the future, but without the long gap of time in-between. You can listen to today’s catch, “His Rope” by Burial, Four Tet & Thom Yorke in the YouTube player below. Good things!
