Today’s catch comes from George Kusunoki Miller (ジョージ・楠木・ミラー)…aka Joji. The Japanese born soulful electronic singer moved to the U.S. when he was 18, and actually made a name for himself being a YouTuber. He then became a rapper & comedian under different pseudonyms. However, it wasn’t until 2017 that he started going by Joji and really started to focus on his electro-soul, trip-hop, ballads. Since then he has really made an impact on me and many many many others by releasing 2 full length albums. On 11/4 he will be releasing his 3rd studio album called Smithereens. Today’s catch, “Yukon (Interlude)“, is an amazing piece of work and the second track to be released from his upcoming LP. Again, he masters that electronic R&B vibe, which really puts you in that “F#ck It” or “Just chill, man” vibe. He is also playing 2 sold-out shows at Stubb’s on 9/16 and 9/17. November 4th can’t get here soon enough. You can watch the video for today’s catch “Yukon (Interlude)” by Joji in the YouTube player below. Good things!
