Today’s catch comes from the sisters Haim, otherwise known as Haim. Now it’s not often that you hear music from the sibling Indie rockers, but they are not totally unfamiliar with Chillville. They have made cameos on tracks from Kid Cudi, Gesaffelstein, and Major Lazer. They just released a brand new track called “Summer Girl“, and it was just to brilliant to pass up as my catch. The song was co-produced by Rostam from Vampire Weekend, and sounds somewhat similar to Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side”. It also came accompanied with a video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. He, of course, is the director of Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and There Will Be Blood to name a few films, and recently directed the short film for Thom Yorke’s ANIMA.
