The Official 42nd Annual Austin Music Awards have revealed their Winners ahead of their Antone’s Celebration Show!
The Austin Chronicle put together a great list of nominees covering a range of genres in the Austin music scene. The heavy-hitter categories include Band, Song, Musician, Songwriter, and Album of the Year.
Black Pumas won two big categories with Band of the Year and Song of the Year with ‘More Than a Love Song.’ Tough competition in both categories featuring nominees Wild Child, DAIISTAR, Grace Sorenson and Die Spitz.
Musician of the Year goes to Shinyribs against fellow talented nominees Ben Kweller and S.L Houser. Songwriter of the Year goes to Caroline Rose and the coveted Album of the Year goes to Die Spitz! Rising Austin punk act, Die Spitz took home a few big wins with Music Video of The Year directed by Kent Shinnick and Best Bassist for member Kate Halter.
Best New Act goes to Farmers Wife with frontwoman Molly Masson also featuring in Die Spitz’s award-winning Music Video.
