Deb is back! Her health is okay, but she is still experiencing a bit of pain. Deb had her stitches taken out on Friday, and also got some x-rays taken. Kate, the surgeon’s physician assistant has been a huge help to Deb in learning about her health and recovery process. Kate and Deb compared the before and now of her labrum, and turns out since the procedure she has barely downgraded from a three to four. Which pretty much means she was really messed up before.
Since it has only been two weeks since the surgery, Deb still will still be crutching around for time to be determined. Deb also has to go to physical therapy twice a week, and although she gets to have the leg brace off, she also has to say goodbye to her beloved CPM machine.
WHO’S THE A-HOLE
Sometimes you see a situation where you’re not exactly sure which one of those A-Holes are actually A-Holes, and you just can’t figure out who’s wrong. No, it’s not Jason this week, but he did witness this happen between two other people and needs someone else to weigh in.
To clarify some guest courtesy rules, if someone is having a gathering and you’ve been invited, it’s usually expected for the guests to bring something. Since this host usually prepares various culinary delights, Jason at the minimum shows up with a giant can of red bull to use as a mixer. Now producer Nick, who is being put on stand for Who’s The A-Hole versus the party host, usually brings his glaucoma medicine as a party favor. Other watch parties guests also share the same prescription, so Nick brings extra medicine to share. About two week ago after so graciously sharing his prescription, Nick gathered up the remnants and left. Let’s just say the host wasn’t so fond of the fact that he took his bowl and leftovers to-go.
Nick did admit to some a-holery, but in his defense it was the last of his supply. Who made Nick the glaucoma medicine fairy anyways? At least he doesn’t just come with a pre-rationed amount of what he is willing to donate. Although this segment was about Nick and the host, after learning about Jason’s buy a six pack, take two and bring four policy, Jason is definitely the A-hole.
QUIEN ES MAS MACHO
Every Monday we test Jason’s manliness by comparing his weekend to a listener’s. Today’s listener was Kevin, and he spent the weekend building a unit for a counter top, then participated in the fun run with his wife and daughter on Saturday.
On Friday, Jason started off his weekend with a performance by Sucktones at Dickbernapalooza. Saturday he watched the Texas-Oklahoma match at Twin Peaks, played in a poker tournament that afternoon and dedicated his whole day to an eleven-hour football marathon on Sunday.
We were way behind on time, so after standing up for seventy-five minutes during his performance, and setting the one night revenue record for Better Days on Friday, Jason declared his weekend mas macho.
I LOVE YOU CALL
Today we called Hodgepodge Coffeehouse and Gallery in Atlanta, GA to see if Deb could get them to say I Love You Too. Deb started off the conversation by asking if she could come in for a bloody marry and sandwich. They did have plenty of sandwiches, but told Deb she would have to go somewhere else for some booze. Luckily Hodgepodge Coffeehouse and Gallery could sense Deb needed a little lovin’ because Deb got an I love you too.
