UKTX Recap, Sunday 11/10: New Sam Fender, Pumarosa

UKTX

101X’s all-British new indie rock show aired Sunday morning, included yet another single from the Geordie Springsteen, Sam Fender. Check out “Saturday” from Sam’s debut full, Hypersonic Missiles:

Sam’s had a remarkable 2019, and 2020 appears to be following suit; he plays a handful of arena-sized UK headlining gigs next spring, culminating with an already sold out homecoming show in Newcastle.

London’s Pumarosa has been a couple of years away from the UKTX list, but sprung back onto it Sunday with new song “I See You”:

Frontwoman Isabel Munoz-Newsome surely brings to mind some classic British alt voices (Siouxsie, Kate Bush), eh? Pumarosa’s UKTX return comes just days after the release of second LP Devastation, recorded with Texan production whiz John Congleton.

Here’s the complete 11/10 UKTX playlist:

Liam Gallagher “Now That I’ve Found You”

Foals “The Runner”

Mumford and Sons “Blind Leading The Blind”

Sea Girls “Violet”

Sam Fender “Saturday”

Catfish and the Bottlemen “Encore”

Stereophonics “Bust This Town”
