Interpol will be returning to Austin at ACL Live tonight and we are stoked about the show! CJ Morgan has seen them live many times and claims to be a big fan so the show tasked him with creating the ultimate Interpol playlist.
Honorable mention:
The Rover, Say Hello to the Bright Lights, C’Mere, No I in Threesome, Barricade, Ancient Ways and Rest My Chemistry
12) Toni | Something Changed 2022
Surely this song or another from their coming album will rank higher on this list as time goes by but for now its too new.
11) Slow Hands | Antics 2004
Antics wasn’t my favorite one from the band but it sure seems to be for a lot of people. Still, it had some songs I liked including this one.
10) If You Love Nothing | Marauder 2018
This song really grew on me as time went on therefore it makes the list.
9) Evil | Antics 2004
Maybe the best one from the 2004 release?
8) Success | Interpol 2010
The second of three songs from their 2010 album that actually got significant attention from outside the usual fan base and produced some solid music videos.
7) PDA | Turn on the Bright Lights 2002
The first time I ever heard Interpol song was when I played this during my junior college radio morning show.
6) All the Rage Back Home | El Pintor 2014
For sure the best song from El Pintor and one that stuck with me at a weird time in my life.
5) The Heinrich Maneuver | Our Love to Admire 2007
Clearly the best song from that record and a true alternative radio hit.
4) Untitled | Turn on the Bright Lights 2002
Slow, depressing and untitled. Perfect for my mopey CJ moods and a great way to set the tone as track one on their debut.
3) Obstacle 1 | Turn on the Bright Lights 2002
Initially this was my favorite and go-to song from the band but that slowly changed as I dove into more tracks and with later releases.
2) Leif Erikson | Turn on the Bright Lights 2002
How could you not like this Viking dirge? Also love the use of Interpol’s AB song structure in this one.
1) Lights | Interpol 2010
The 2010 self titled album was that last with Carlos Denger in the band and truly left us with some amazing songs including this haunting piece, which, is my favorite song.
