Austin’s new MLS team has received its new name and color scheme. The team will be called the Austin FC and the colors for the club will be green and black.
The team name and colors were released yesterday, alongside the release of the team logo. The badge incorporates elements that represent city pride, united roots, eleven layers, intertwined oaks and the FC tradition. The four roots on the tree on the team badge represent the north and south regions of Austin.
Earlier in August, the Austin City Council voted to bring the MLS stadium to McKalla Place in North Austin.
SPURS’ MANU GINOBILI IS CONSIDERING RETIREMENT
One of the last remaining key players from the Spurs’ championship teams may be ready to call it quits. According to a report, Manu Ginobili is seriously considering retirement.
Ginobili has spent his entire career with the Spurs and is under contract for the upcoming season. The fourty-one year old has been working out at the team’s facility in preparation of playing, but he still hasn’t made up his mind about whether he’ll actually do so.
BROWNS COACH BOB WYLIE GIVES ANTI- STRETCHING SPEECH ON HARD KNOCKS
Browns coach Bob Wylie dropped a rant on the show, ‘Hard Knocks’ about stretching. During the show, he went into detail about why he thinks stretching is just overrated.
Wylie went on to tell the team that all of the guys who fought in World War I and II did pushups, jumping jacks, sit ups, climbed ropes and ran, but none of them did any fancy stretching and they won two world wars. They got by with just by doing jumping jacks, pushups, and sit ups he also said.
THE RAIDERS’ STADIUM IN LAS VEGAS WILL HAVE A JAIL AND COURT ROOM FOR UNRULY FANS
The Oakland Raiders’ new stadium in Las Vegas will reportedly include a small jail and courtroom for unruly fans. Also, fans who are caught fighting may have their personal seat licenses and season tickets revoked.
Vegas is apparently expecting the fans to continue to be the hooligans of the NFL. The Raiders’ new stadium will feature retractable doors, a glass-domed roof, grass field, and a small jail and court room for unruly fans.
The stadium will also have its own area command with dedicated officers like the Vegas Strip.
