Deb Discovers The Draft

Introducing a new segment, “I Was Today Years Old When I Learned” where Deb tells us things she just learned today that most other people already knew. Deb was today years old when she learned that when every boy turns 18 years old they have to sign up for the draft. Deb was dumbfounded and didn’t realize that every kid goes through this! Some listeners chimed in and let her know that it’s called “selective service” and that men ages 18-25 must sign up on the majority of financial aid applications. On top of that, if you don’t sign up you can be fined or even get jail time. Deb thinks it’s ridiculous! Deb thinks a draft is a bit outdated and there are enough people out there who want to willingly enlist. Well, the more you know Deb, we’re pretty positive this won’t be the last time you learn something new!

That Guy 

Jason says don’t be that guy or girl who posts semi-nude pictures on social media. Well, he doesn’t say don’t be that guy, he just doesn’t get it. Recently he has seen some friends who go from cute pics with their kids on the playground and then the next picture is of them wearing lingerie, without the kids of course. Jason doesn’t understand what “thirst trap” culture is and wonders why you would post that picture rather than keep it for someone specific. He’s not slut-shaming, he would just like to have a better understanding of the reasoning behind it. But, also it is kind of strange to be on the timeline and see pics of you with your kids and then almost naked. We’ll have to assume that Jason just isn’t that woke.
