Did Green Book deserve to win? Did the awards show suffer from not having a host? Are Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga doing it? Of course Jason found a way to turn the biggest awards show in Hollywood into a gambling opportunity, so the Academy snubbing Netflix’s Roma has major ramifications for him and Producer Nick. Deb was the only one of us who actually watched the film, but found it less than deserving of the Best Picture award.
Jason was equally disappointed by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s performance of “Shallow”. While most of the country appears more concerned with whether or not Lady Gaga was giving Bradley Cooper the fuzzily nuzzily’s, Jason was upset that Bradley Cooper didn’t actually play the guitar.
Jason also missed having an actual Oscar’s host. Deb was fine with just having a disembodied voice announce each presenter. One thing pretty much everyone seems to agree on is that Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler were great in their opening bit about what jokes they would have made if they were actually hosting the show. Check it out below.

Deb Is A Hero
Deb and her boyfriend had themselves an exciting weekend getaway in San Antonio. Deb’s boyfriend is currently in the process of moving to Austin, but still has a place in the Alamo city. Unfortunately he’s one of those people who doesn’t use autopay to pay his bills, and they discovered the electricity and gas had been cut off since the last time he had been home. Since no gas means no heat, Deb had to go to local gym to use their showers. Luckily for one little San Antonio girl that meant Deb was around to save the day when the bathroom stall door got stuck. We’re sure it’s only a matter of time before Deb is awarded the key to the city for her heroics.
Check Out Our Napoleon Dynamite Costumes
The pics are up from this year’s Flashback Dance. This year we dressed up like the cast from Napoleon Dynamite and we absolutely crushed it. Oh, and we helped raise a ton of money for a good cause.
Sports:
The New York Knicks snapped an 18-game home losing streak by beating your San Antonio Spurs. Not the best feeling if you’re a Spurs zoyalist like Jason, but it did lead to a funny moment at the Academy Awards when Samuel L. Jackson gave Spike Lee a score update.

As if he didn’t get beat up enough after the disaster that was Fyre Festival, Ja Rule had another embarrassing moment while performing the halftime show of the Milwaukee Bucks game against the Timberwolves. It took a minute for him to get his music going and he had to deal with some awkward dead air time. Poor Ja Rule.
