Last year, I was fat, depressed and lonely. I felt like I had tried everything to get the old me back. Nothing was working. A good friend of mine Justin from MAVS had been trying to get me to compete in his body building show MAVS Charity Classic for a few years but I had thought “I can’t do that!” Well, upon thinking hard about it, and learning about the fantastic charity it supports, I decided, I CAN. I needed this, a goal, something to work for, something with meaning.
So, since April, I’ve been training for the MAVS Charity Classic, in the figure category. Make A Vet Sweat provides free gym membership funding for veterans and their spouses, to help combat the symptoms of PTSD, and foster that feeling of community that we all need. I can relate to a lot of the symptoms of PTSD so it’s a cause near and dear to my heart.
I hope that you can find a few pennies to help support me as I work hard to reach my goal. I’m 6 weeks out and although I’ve seen HUGE changes in my body and mind, there’s still a long way to go. Thank you in advance for your support!
And a MASSIVE thank you to the amazing people around me who have donated their time, energy, resources, products and services. It’s because of them that I can make a bigger donation to MAVS… I ❤️ you: Rich and the guys, NeuFit, ATX Hyperbarics, Meal Pros, Athletic Tune- Up, and Bodacious Bikinis.
