Major League Soccer Is Coming To Austin

Austin has landed a Major League Soccer team after the Austin City Council approved the McKalla Place deal yesterday.

The soccer stadium will be located in North Austin, and the deal paves the way for the Columbus Crew Soccer Club owner, Anthony Precourt, to begin financing an estimated two-hundred million dollars at the twenty-four acre tract of city-owned land near the Domain area.

The team is aiming to begin playing in the Austin area by March 2019.

When the Houston Texans football team hits the field at NRG Stadium this fall, fans can expect a few new features.

Here’s what’s new at NRG Stadium for 2018 football season:

  • Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys will be joining the stadium for the first time.
  • Killen’s Barbecue is offering a new smocked beef rib served on the bone.
  • General concessions will now offer corn dog nachos.
  • The Verizon Club level will now offer a smoked meatball sub and jalapeño lobster roll.
  • Suites’ catering will now offer Korean barbecue egg roll lettuce wraps, quinoa salad, crab cakes and lentil salad.

Kobe Bryant made hundreds of millions of dollars during his basketball career, and now, the former Los Angeles Lakers star is making even more.

Bryant invested approximately six million for about ten percent in the BodyArmor sports drink company.

After Coca Cola acquired a minority stake in the sports drink company, Bryant’s shares are now worth an estimated two-hundred million dollars.

Bryant’s investment increased by more than thirty times in just four-plus years.

While some professional athletes will indulge in the finer things in life without thinking twice, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski joined the show to talk about how he doesn’t go broke.

Some fans may believe Gronkowski is pretty careless with his money, but the New England Patriots star is smart with his money.

Gronkowski revealed that he has saved all of the money that he’s made during his five-year career as a member of the Patriots. He also explained how to this day, he still hasn’t touched one dime of his signing bonus or NFL contract money, nor has he made any big-ticket expenses.
