Jason Is Back
After two weeks of being exiled to his closet studio Jason Dick was back in studio for the first time since returning from Mexico. We’re glad his back (for the most part) and we’re glad he chose to wear his new house shoes too. We needed a good laugh to start our week, thanks Dickman.
Producer Nick’s New Roommate
Once upon a time Producer Nick was looking for a place to live and a listener was nice enough to offer up a room in his swanky Mueller townhouse. We call him Nick’s Room-Lord because he’s part roommate and part landlord. And it’s been a awesome arraignment for all involved. Nick gets to live in a hip, trendy neighborhood, and the Room-Lord gets in home court-holding 24/7. But now there’s some strife building because the Room-Lord’s out-of-town boyfriend has come down from Chicago to ride out the coronavirus. Chicago Guy is nice enough and Nick understands that his Room-Lord’s tendency to do things out of the goodness of his heart is why Nick has a place to stay. So he’s trying to be accepting, but it’s just added stress to an all-ready tense situation. But these days, you just gotta roll with it and keep making it work, one day at a time.
I Love You Call
As a sign of the times, we’ve pivoted the I Love You Call from calling random business to calling your loved ones who might need an extra boost in these trying times. Today we called Molly, the mother of Listener Katy, aka Juggalo Recreational Hour on Twitter. Molly has been working from home for the last few weeks along with her husband and 8-year-old granddaughter. As Katy says, she’s been doing it with grace and patience and holding up like a champion. Molly was delightful to talk to on the phone and even took time to use the radio to try and get her daughter a good boyfriend. Deb bought a mesh pet tent so that her animals could enjoy the outside, without her worrying about them squeezing through the fence. Apparently they’re not crazy about it, but they sure do look cute playing in.
